Hello and thanks for coming to visit P6 online!  We are based in room 13 of the school, that's upstairs and to the left.  There are 24 pupils and our teachers are Mrs Mackinnon on Mondays , Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Mrs Chambers on Thursdays and Fridays.   Lots of fun things have been happening so far in 2012/13.  We've had a great session and we hope to tell you regularly about what we are up to on this page.

We learn all the usual things like Language, Maths, Numeracy, Science, Health, ICT, RME, PE , Music and Art and this session our History topic was the Jacobites.  We can now tell you all about Bonnie Prince Charlie, sing some Jacobite songs and watch out, some of us have been training for battle!   We have been learning Tin Whistle and  learned lots about seafood at a recent workshop and we enjoyed the successful Dance Festival and Basketball Festival where we met new friends from other schools.  We have some keen swimmers in the class and we enjoyed the cross country sessions outdoors with our neighbouring classes.  We are learning beginners' French and Gaelic so if you can speak either language, try it out on us please!

This term we have been star gazing...did you know Skye is one of the best places to view the night sky?  Our Solar System topic has allowed us to explore massive numbers and facts about the universe...to infinity and beyond!!!  As summer approaches we are learning about Europe and how Scotland fits in to a very varied and interesting continent.

We're excited about this new-look website and most of us love using the computer so we will keep you up to date as the year goes on.   So watch this space , we will soon be bringing you photos of what we are doing  at school.  See you soon!
